Space Coast Contra Dance restarts!
The Space Coast Contradance has a new home. It is located just south of Titusville (on the right as you are going south) in the small town of Sharpes. The address is: Walter Butler Community Center, 4201 US-1 N, Cocoa, FL 32927
Rosa B Williams Center to reopen soon
The Rosa B will be reopening in September. The Department of Cultural Affairs is now accepting proposals from interested parties to conduct participatory arts at concessionary rates to encourage broader public participation in healthy community-building activities.
Mom was a Swing Dancer
From June,1942 until war’s end, my mother Roseann Harrigan riveted bomber wings by day in Detroit and danced the Lindy Hop to the extreme to bands like Benny Goodman’s on weekends at the Grande Ballroom.
