Costumes encouraged\, laughter inevitable. Bring your broomsticks\, your partners\, and your best ghostly grin for a night where even the pumpkins can’t sit still! \n \nPlaying With Fyre is:\n\nGeorge Paul on keyboard;\nRob Zisette on fiddle; and\nSteve Kemble on percussion.\n\nPlaying with Fyre hails from the Blue Ridge mountain region and offers a dazzling mix of fiddle fire\, funky piano\, and driving percussion that propels contras into something electric. Rob’s fiery fiddle playing\, George’s funky\, bluesy piano\, and Steve’s extraordinary percussion create an ambience of dance seldom experienced. \nTerry Doyle\, contra dance caller\nTerry Doyle has been a vibrant force in the contra-dance world for more than two decades\, combining warm teaching\, energetic calling\, melodic phrasing\, and a genuine community-spirit that welcomes both newcomers and seasoned dancers alike. Whether she’s leading a flat-foot workshop one moment or calling a spirited contra the next\, she brings clarity\, rhythm and joy to the floor—ensuring that the dance isn’t just heard but lived. With her on the mic\, you’re not just following steps—you’re becoming part of a living\, breathing contra adventure. \nPotluck Dinner at The Dancing Fish\, Saturday November 1st\nAll are welcome\, serving what you bring!
