Coming Oct 20: Andy Kane & Wild Bill’s Traveling Circus
Calling all Gainesville Contra Dancers! Do you love contra dancing? Do your bit to help the G.O.D.S. to ‘recover’ from the Covid interlude by signing on as a board volunteer this year when you are most needed!
The expectations of G.O.D.S. steering committee members for 2023-2024 include:
- Being willing and able to participate fully in meetings of the board and dance community
- Attend quarterly (or as needed) Board meetings to make decisions related to regular and special dance events.
- Serve on a rotating basis, generally about three or four (depends on how many committee members there are) times during the year, as “dance manager” of the regular and special dance events.
If you would like to serve, or nominate someone else (with their permission) write to Dave Pokorney, Convener at godscommittee@gmail.com. Questions? Call 352-870-7653.
Gainesville’s next dance will be Friday October 20th, at the Gainesville Health and Fitness Center.
Note: This dance will be held at the Echo Pavilion!
