Bob Isaacs & Janet Shepherd call to Kingfisher + Reelplay

Bob Isaacs, from Princeton NJ, squares the circles and lines up the dots with his delightful dance compositions.

A prolific choreographer of creative dances, Bob is famous for his clear calling of flowing contras and amazing hot grid squares. He is a prolific contra choreographer and his creative dances are called throughout the country.

Caller Janet Shepherd began calling shortly after moving to Atlanta in 1990, and has been a mainstay there ever since. With smooth walk-throughs, infectious humor and a dash of southern charm she has delighted dancers throughout the Southeast and states beyond. Whether with zippy contras, rowdy squares, or quirky odd formations, she is always brewing up fun for every crowd.

Kingfisher is a Boston-based contra dance band, consisting of:

• Cecilia Vacanti on fiddle; and
• Jeff Kaufman on piano, mandolin, drums, synths.

Reelplay is an Atlanta-based contra dance band, consisting of:

• Dave Marcus on concertina; and
• Robbin L Marcus on piano

Reelplay is a New England-style contra dance band from Atlanta with Dave Marcus, concertina, and Robbin L Marcus on piano (and a bit of percussion) playing a mix of tunes including New England, Quebecois, bal folk, ECD, and originals. Playing in bands such as Over the Moon, ‘Round Robbin, Renewable Energy and Holy Coyote, these musicians have lifted dancers’ feet and spirits for several decades. A recent dance organizer said this about Reelplay: “The music was FANTASTIC! Great variety, fun, beautiful. Just great!!” Listen to Reelplay.

  • Dance: 7-10 pm
• Saturday July 2
  • Lunch: 11:45 – 12:45 pm (grill from 11:30 – 12:30)
  • Dance: 1-4 pm
  • Dinner: 4:45 – 5:45 pm (grill from 4:30 – 5:30)
  • Dance: 6-10 pm
• Sunday, July 3
  • Lunch: 11:45 – 12:45 pm (grill from 11:30 – 12:30)
  • Dance: 1-4 pm
  • Dinner: 4:45 – 5:45 pm (grill from 4:30 – 5:30)
  • Dance: 6-9 pm

Note:

• Single dances are $15 per dance for adults. Weekend passes are $30.
• $7.50 for youth age 18-25. Weekend passes are $15. Children 17 & under accompanied by adults are free.
• This is a private residence so proof of vaccination is required for all in attendance, including spectators.

Step 1. Make your Booking/RSVP

1. To make your booking, you must first log in to your account. Booking forms are only visible to logged-in users.
2. One booking only per person (everyone makes their own booking).
3. Select your booking category and send your booking reservation/RSVP.
4. It will tell you “Booking successful”. This is the ONLY way for us to know that you plan to attend!

Step 2. Make your Payment/Donation:

1. Under ‘Quantity’ select ‘1’ for the category that applies to you.
2. Click on the ‘Buy Now’ button to pay by PayPal or credit card.
3. You will be taken to the PayPal site where you will settle your transaction.

Please remember, your PayPal donation and your RSVP/reservation are different and separate. You are not fully booked without doing BOTH.
