Callers Janet Shepherd and Bob Isaacs shared the stage at The Dancing Fish’s Fourth of July Weekend, 1-3 July 2022.

Caller Janet Shepherd began calling shortly after moving to Atlanta in 1990, and has been a mainstay there ever since. With smooth walk-throughs, infectious humor and a dash of southern charm she has delighted dancers throughout the Southeast and states beyond. Whether with zippy contras, rowdy squares, or quirky odd formations, she is always brewing up fun for every crowd.

Kingfisher is a Boston-based contra dance band, consisting of:

  • Cecilia Vacanti on fiddle; and
  • Jeff Kaufman on piano, mandolin, drums, synths.

Sessions

  • Friday 7:00 – 10:00 pm (open waltz 6-7 pm)
  • Saturday 12:00 – 3:00 pm
  • Saturday 6:00 – 9:00 pm (open waltz 5-6 pm)
