Dance Band Workshop with Stomp Rocket!
Workshop Leaders: Dave Langford on fiddle, Glen Loper on mandolin and banjo, and Bethany Waickman on guitar
Musicians interested in learning more about playing for contra dances are invited to join this workshop! Whether you’re new to playing for dances or want to build on your experience by learning from the best, this workshop is for you. All instruments are welcome, though participants should expect the workshop leaders to have the most expertise in the instruments they play.
- Saturday, February 1st, 3:30–5pm
- $30 to attend, or $15 for those who register for any part of the dance weekend

Participants should be comfortable playing a tune all the way through, and have a repertoire of at least a dozen tunes from any related instrumental folk tradition (such as old-time, Irish, etc).
Participants are highly encouraged to attend part or all of the dance weekend to make the most of this learning opportunity! Regardless of whether you decide to dance, this will be a chance to see the workshop leaders put their lessons into action.To Register for this Workshop, Click Here!
