Laura Lengnick is known for her work in the Asheville, North Carolina contra dance community, having performed with various ensembles, including “Mr. Danger” alongside guitarist Larry Unger. Laura brings fellow Asheville mucisians Karen Gaughan and Tory Horner together to bring the vibrant energy that Asheville is famous for to The Dancing Fish this Friday and Saturday only. ​

April 18-20: Wild Asparagus Weekend 2025

April 18-20 is the weekend that you will want to circle on your calendar. This annual get-together of Wild Asparagus musicians and fans is by far our most most anticipated event of the calendar. No advance booking is necessary. However, you do need to make your donation in advance and make your accommodation arrangements.

  • FRIDAY EVENING (4/18): 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • SATURDAY AFTERNOON (4/19): 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • SATURDAY EVENING (4/19): 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
  • SUNDAY AFTERNOON (4/20): 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Bookings & Payments

  • No advance booking is required for events at The Dancing Fish — including Wild Asparagus Weekend.
  • Payment may be made online only in advance on the Wild Asparagus Weekend event page.
