Mary Wesley & The Figments * Smooth Flava * Potluck Dinner & more this Saturday
More of New England’s finest musical artists are coming to The Dancing Fish along with Gainesville’s own Wanda Lloyd and Smooth Flava dance troupe for a rollicking weekend with contra dancing to high-powered music, line dancing with Smooth Flava and potluck dinner for all.
Mary Wesley started calling in 2008 and keeps a full schedule, which includes gigs up and down both coasts. Mary loves to share her infectious joy for traditional dancing with dancers of all ages.
Schedule:
- Friday 7-10 pm
Saturday schedule:
- 12-3 PM: Contra dance
- 3:15 – 4:15 PM: Dance with Smooth Flava (January 7th dance)
- 4:30 – 5:30 PM: Covered Dish/Pot Luck Dinner for all
- 5:30 – 6 PM: Waltzing and Cross Step
- 6 – 9 PM: Contra dance
We are thrilled to present The Figments, known for their driving fiddle and guitar with the rich texture and rhythmic excitement of the clarinet. Elegant melodies evolve into raucous riffs, transcendent harmonies, and playful improvisations.
