Dec 1-2: Terry Doyle & Buzzband
Terry Doyle returns to call contra dances to the music of Buzzband on 1-2 December 2023.
Terry will be calling in place of Seth Tepfer who had been scheduled to call this weekend. However, he is just recovering from a long hospital stay for cardiac procedures. The good news is that Seth is out of the hospital and resting. Happily for everyone, Terry Doyle has agreed to come down from eastern Tennesse and call on rather short notice. So thank you, Terry!
Buzzband is:
- George Paul on keyboard;
- Rob Zisette on fiddle/percussion; and
- Ed Howe on fiddle
Terry Doyle is back as your caller/dancer extraordinaire!
Terry Doyle is an accomplished caller who travels far and wide around the country to call contra dances. She is currently teaching at Western Piedmont Community College in Morgantown and is the co-director of the Appalachian Folk School in Mountain City, TN. While teaching and calling contra dances, you’ll find Terry flat foot dancing on stage adding percussive rhythm sounds that accompany the music.
