Jax Contra Resumes 02/24/2024!

Jacksonville’s first contra dance since 2019 — and it’s this Saturday 24 Feb ’24! Tallahassee caller Vicki Morrison will gently guide dancers to the music of A Fine Kettle of Fish.

The Jacksonville contra dance community is delighted to announce our return to contra dancing again on Saturday February 24th and every 4th Saturday of every month (excluding May).

Snacks to share are encouraged. Please bring serving dish or bowl and utensil if necessary and take them back home with you. Bring your own water bottle or nonalcoholic drink. There are water fountains for refills.

Welcome back, Jacksonville Contra Dancers! Please join us for our first contra dance in Jacksonville since 2019. If you’ve been here before, we’re excited to see you and dance with you again in 2024! But we are also hopeful that we can introduce this joyful dance to many new people this year. As always, all ages and levels of experience welcome. Please bring friends, family, co-workers, whoever! Or come by yourself. No partner necessary.
